Tucked away in the lush countryside outside of Brisbane sits one of Queensland’s oldest, most opulent event venues, Glengariff Historic Estate. For 140 years, our family has owned and operated this 230-acre homestead first as a dairy farm, then as a vineyard, and now as a renowned destination for idyllic country style weddings that hosts parties large and small. Known as a photographer’s paradise, we remain a coveted homestead wedding venue for Brisbane couples looking to tie the knot at a private, picturesque, all-inclusive, estate. Create a once-in-a-lifetime experience suitable for such joyous occasions as weddings and commitment ceremonies at Glengariff Historic Estate.
Destination Wedding Made Easy at Glengariff Historic Estate
With more than 150 weddings at our homestead venue annually, we pride ourselves on being one of the best country-style wedding venues near Brisbane and are proud to host couples from around the world. Particularly for couples planning a destination wedding, it can be challenging to coordinate suppliers to ensure that items arrive on time and as requested. We keep an esteemed list of trusted vendors with whom we work with frequently and have proven themselves to meet the standard of grandeur such a historic venue requires. Accent your country wedding with DJs, photographers, videographers, and even a photobooth to keep your guests entertained as they take in the majestic sights.
Between Brisbane and Glengariff Historic Estate are lovely B&Bs and other overnight accommodation suitable for setting the tone for your back-country experience. Guests are welcome to the large car park on grounds, and we offer a luxury coach package to transport non-drivers from their accommodation to your red-carpet affair.
Exclusive Homestead Wedding Venue Near Brisbane
All packages are exclusive, all-inclusive, and customisable. On your special day, we make our home yours with complete access to the entire property including gardens, a lake, vineyards, a waterfall, classical stone arbours, and various lookouts where you can see across the property and surrounding countryside. Book a private wedding appointment where we’ll go over our intuitively-segmented event packages and discuss customisable options. For example, you may prefer a buffet to full-table-service or tab beverage service instead of open service. Finally, you’ll get to explore the property and its 30+ picture-perfect backdrops for your official wedding photos.
Traditionally, Saturday is the most common day for weddings. With only 52 Saturdays in a year, each is in high demand. If the size of your wedding near Brisbane is too small for our full packages, or your preferred date is already taken, don’t fret. We host
weddings at our pristine venue mid-week. Alternatively, we can book an afternoon ceremony and reception. Instead of a 5-hour reception, lunch wedding hire is set at four hours. Mid-week and mid-day packages are great for couples on a budget as these packages cost less while retaining the benefits of full dinner-service weddings.
If you’re still comparing venues for your country wedding, come out to one of our Open Days. We open our home to brides looking to tour the property, meet our set of preferred vendors and suppliers, and enjoy complimentary champagne while you imagine your fairy-tale country wedding come to life.
